toivo: Thank you very much for pointing this out. Almost a year ago when I was preparing to upgrade to Joomla 5, I requested that the hosting company enable allow_url_fopen and just assumed it was done but it wasn't! While it doesn't fix the sigplus extension problem I'm having it does ensure stability to our website (fpa grades it an A with 96.7% confidence level). Thanks again.
